The featured photo is "Wild Conquistadorian Stock" a  Largo Horse Herd". Foundation stock of mustangs, and most notable horse breeds, including Lokata, Nakata, Thoroughbreds & Quarter Horses. They were the favored Native American mount following 1493 in North & South America.  Being the favored  cowboys horses through the 1800's. Their natural range was from South America to Colorado, and from Georgia to California and North to Canada. They where hunted and cross breed out by the 1900's in North America in order to destroy Native American resistance. The pictured horses range near Carrington, ND.
