Color is even throughout the piece. the camera put a lighting problem in photos. Color is not quite as light as the second photo, not as dark as the tannish brown photos.

Evenly stamped border. Floral and scroll corners, each slightly different for an added artistic draw.
The border highlighting has some darker and lighter areas, normal with a rustic old-like style.
 
The whole carving has been highlighted with brown to bring out the beautiful cuts. The color isn't accurate in the photo. More the color of a pale person's lite suntan. This art will darken with age.
 
The border is stamped, Phoenix is mostly knife cuts. Embedded nickel silver heart Conchos in the tail. The day I gold plate the conchos is the day the price will go up.
 
The size to the edge of stamping is 16" x 20", with care this is the smallest you could cut it.
